county seat of Marshall County, in the fertile Red River Valley. With a
population of 1,800, Warren is conveniently located on two major highways -
State Highway 1 and U.S. Highway 75. Metropolitan Grand Forks, with a
population of 50,000, is only a 30-minute commute.

Warren can boast of having made significant strides in eliminating the
housing problem that plagues much of Minnesota. The quality of local homes is very high with many older homes
retaining their value through fastidious maintenance, and new homes are built
with unusual attention to durability.
The City of Warren has started an ambitious program to develop
housing. Summerfield Place of Warren is a market-rate apartment community
consisting of 20 senior (age 55 and older) units, and 16 family units. It
is nestled amidst landscaped grounds adjacent to the Good Samaritan Center
Nursing Home. It is a beautiful one-story building with community space
and common areas.
The Northwest Addition offers lots in a variety of price
ranges. Landmark Center and Landmark West are low-rent senior citizen
housing units. The city also has a modern 68-unity mobile home park.
Subsidized housing is available. Apartments and homes for rent or sale are
also available.
