As the County Seat of Roseau County, the city of Roseau serves as a strong retail trade center for the region. Located within ten minutes of the Canadian border at the junction of State Highways 11, 89, and 310, the Roseau community offers many activities ranging from fishing, to cross country skiing, and snowmobiling.
Roseau, a North Star City, is an energetic, progressive community with a growing population. The City of Roseau enjoys an excellent public school system, numerous diverse, civic, and community organizations and programs, basic community facilities, and a strong retail area.
One of Roseau's most prominent industries providing employment in the surrounding area is Polaris Industries. Polaris employs over 1800 people, and caters to the ever growing family sport of snowmobiling during the winter, and four-wheeling when the snow is gone.
Located within the Roseau area you will find Hayes Lake State Park and Lake of the Woods, as well as other nearby forests, parks, lakes and wildlife refuges.
