Viking, is a small rural community located midway between Thief River Falls and Warren just north of State Highway 1 on County road 11. Located in downtown Viking, is a grocery store-cafe and a post office. A grain elevator with access to the Northern Plains Railway is also nearby. The area is served by Viking Covenant and Zion Lutheran Church. Viking is also located around twenty minutes southeast of Old Mill State Park.
